(Terry Fox,全名为Terrance Stanley Fox,1958年7月28日-1981年6月28日)，一位加拿大的平凡青年。十八岁花季年华时，他被检查出罹患癌症而被迫截去右腿。生性倔强的他没有抱怨命运的不公，没有被病魔摧毁，更没有放弃生命。他乐观积极地在医院里接受各种治疗与康复，鼓励医院里的其它患者要勇敢地面对病魔。当他得知加拿大政府对癌症研究的资金投入仍相当匮乏时，他决定为癌症患者贡献一份自己的力量。
